St Austell Boxing Club has received two grants, from the CCF's Sport Relief and Cornwall 100 Club funds, for essential equipment and kit as their membership is growing, and to keep the young people motivated equipment was needed for everyone. St Austell Boxing Club have also joined the Boxing Award scheme; an introduction to the sport of amateur boxing as a game or skill, teaching discipline, respect and self control as well as the importance of a healthy lifestyle and has been designed as a fun recreational programme for all participants at all levels, ages and abilities. They were Runners Up in the CCF Annual Awards Youth Category for their work involving young people in sport.
