London Club
There are many people living away from Cornwall who are based in and around London, but who still want to help Cornish causes.
The London Club is a simple scheme aimed at achieving exactly this. There is no minimum donation, with all monies received being ring-fenced and used to help urgent need and crisis at the discretion of Cornwall Community Foundation. Grants awarded have included support for people affected by the localised floods in and around St Austell last year; and helping to support projects which make a huge positive impact in their community but were struggling to survive, so London Club grants were given to subsidise their running costs. This meant all the people using their services (one being a drop in centre), would not be abandoned, or lose their friends and support network.
