The fund is targeted at small community groups (any not for profit organisation) who operate in the area currently known as the Caradon District, with a turnover not exceeding £20,000 per year.

Grants range from £250 - £500 with the CACF Advisory Group Grants Panel meeting twice yearly to consider eligible applications.

Grassroots Grants - Introduction

Small community groups and projects in Cornwall & Isles of Scilly are to benefit from a £1.25m cash injection after Cornwall Community Foundation secured a programme to distribute grants to grassroots initiatives in the area.

The money is part of a £130m drive by the government to support thousands of groups and projects across England working to improve their local communities.

The win means that we can distribute £732,000 of grants directly over the next three years to small, local, not for profit organisations best able to use the money to make a real difference to their community.

Grants will range from £250 - £5,000

In order to qualify your group must:

Any project will be considered provided that your aims are for people i.e. not animals or plants. Some organisations will not be considered such as statutory or public groups and regional offices of national bodies. Core costs will be considered e.g. room rental & salaries. You may also apply for Full Cost Recovery.
