3 November 2013
Kim is project manager with STAK which started off serving soup to homeless clients and now opens 6 days a week offering affordable lunch and teatime menus to vulnerable and socially isolated or excluded members of society. It also provides courses, clubs and friendship and this year, won the Big Society Award for its outstanding contribution to the community.
The Cornwall Community Foundation first awarded it a grant of £1,000 in 2010 that enabled it to open 6 days a week. It operates in St. Austell and the surrounding villages and helps around 50 clients each month.
