Fundraising concert raises £500 for storm victims
23 May 2014
Susie Greenslade and Adam Nicholls organised a fundraising concert at St Paul's, Chacewater, singing some wonderful songs to raise money for the victims of the storms.
Adam Nicholls, Hannah Mary Pascoe and Alastair Taylor spent the evening of the 23rd May at St Paul's, Chacewater, singing some wonderful songs from shows such as Les Miserable and Phantom of the Opera. It was a memorable, uplifting evening - with her powerful soprano Hannah lifted the rafters on the high notes when she sang "Vilia Vilja" from Merry Widow. This was followed by a resounding rendition of "Oh What A Beautiful Morning" from Oklahoma by Adam. Alastair's fantastic "Gershwin Medley" on the piano demonstrated his tremendous talent. The audience was then treated to a wonderful duet from Alastair & Adam "Bui Doi" from Miss Saigon, Alastair played the piano as well as sung.
Susie Greenslade said “If you ever get chance to hear any of these three singers 'jump at it'. I must say 'Stars' from Les Miserable and Adam singing 'Ole Man River' curled my toes. It suffices to say we all had a most wonderful evening - thanks to the three and to all who gave their time helping to organise and those who gave so generously to a cause very close to my heart.”Back
