Trenouth Solar Farm Community Fund welcomes applications

24 September 2014

The CCF is welcoming applications to the Trenouth Solar Farm Community Fund for the benefit of not for profit organisations running projects in the Wadebridge area including St Ervan, St Issey, St Eval and St Merryn.  Projects with an educational element or awareness of reducing their carbon footprint may be given priority. Grants range from £250 to £5,000.

The CCF administers these funds on behalf of Low Carbon, the renewable energy company. Since June 2013 the Trenouth Solar Farm Fund has invested £24,152 worth of funding to six community groups to provide additional or to develop existing projects for the benefit of the community.  The awarded projects included the Wadebridge Youth Project, The Sculpture Workshop CIC, Wadebridge Renewable Energy Network (WREN), St Issey Village Hall Bowl Club, St Issey in Bloom and the SEACAF (St.Eval Area Community Action Forum) CIC.
