New renewable energy community fund

1 December 2014

We are delighted to launch the Higher Down Wind Farm grants programme which exists for the promotion of projects, situated within the Parish of St Ive, Liskeard. The new fund will support the improvement of environmental education in the face of climate change, highlighting the need for sustainability, for renewable energy and energy efficiency, or which address problems of rural isolation, especially for younger members of the community or projects which otherwise address local needs. The first grants panel meeting will take place in May 2015.  We are currently recruiting grants panel members for this fund, if you are local to the area or hold knowledge on the community and would be interested in becoming a panel member for this fund please do contact us at grants@cornwallfoundation.com.

We have had a busy year awarding approximately 621 applicants to date helping to reach over 70,000 beneficiaries, receiving some fantastic feedback from grant applicants enabling us to report back to our donors. If grant recipients previous or current can send jpeg pictures of their projects and activities we will be able to provide visual impact as well as written, jpegs to grants@cornwallfoundation.com.

We would like to say a big thank you for the continuing work of all of our volunteers to include assessors, panel and committee members, for further information on becoming a volunteer please contact us on 01566779333.
