Apex Arts CIC enjoyed a year of musical performances
23 December 2014
Arts Participation and Expression (Apex) received £897 from the Wellbeing and Prevention Grant Programme towards their inter-generational project supporting Apex participants (aged 19 - 55 years) with autism and learning disabilities.
From January to December 2014 the Apex group participated in monthly workshops where they devised a musical performance entitled Apex and The Creative Brain. This show was performed at the Redruth Community Centre, the Holifield Camping Weekend in Gweek, The Watersports Centre in Falmouth and at the Acorn in Penzance over the summer of 2014
The Director, Jacqui Callis comments "the grant has helped to provide a sense of community, well-being, pride, hope, self-esteem, fun and has enabled friendships to be formed".
