CCF & FEAST support art projects across Cornwall
5 July 2016
The CCF supported several projects all across Cornwall in partnership with FEAST in June.
Carefree Arts Leaders, Mousehole Sea, Salts and Sail, Pop Up Penzance- Man Engine Enhancement and Bude Arts And Music Summer Festival received funding towards cultural and arts projects.
Bude Arts And Music Summer Festival were awarded £300 towards BAAM Fest 2016, a weekend long opportunity for the people of Bude, and it’s visitors, to experience a wide variety of arts, music, activities and exhibitions. The festival was a great success with music from solo artists and bands playing continuously through the day. Performing artists ran workshops and performed live. The award from the CCF and Feast supported the Circo Kernow acts & workshop. Circo Kernow provided an afternoon of circus training, allowing all ages to participate and learn new skills.
Mousehole Sea, Salts and Sail received £500 towards their festival in July 2016. Mousehole is a small community which started the festival as a means of maintaining community cohesion in a village under a lot of pressure from tourism and second homes. The Mousehole Festival aims to create a fun and inspired sea-themed setting for activities to appeal to small children and teenagers alike.
Pop Up Penzance- Man Engine Enhancement were awarded £500 towards providing free activities in Penzance to enhance the Man Engine festivities.
The CCF and FEAST are working together to support innovative art projects in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. The partnership brings a greater diversity to our portfolio of projects and the ways in which we can support the communities across the Duchy.
Please apply to FEAST for the amount you need (up to £1,000), FEAST will forward likely projects to the CCF for consideration.Back
