CCF raised over £4,000 at the Royal Cornwall Show
5 July 2016
Thank you to all our supporters who visited us at this year’s Royal Cornwall Show. Together we raised more than £4,000 for community projects across Cornwall.
It was lovely to meet so many Friends of the Foundations and members of our business club. We are very grateful to all of our volunteers for supporting us at the show and helping us to serve almost a thousand cream teas! Tregothnan not only hosted us at the show once again but also kindly donated all the profit to the CCF. Cornwall 100 Club member Rodda’s Creamery donated all the milk and cream for the cream teas.
Meg Weir, Trustee of the CCF, said “We were very fortunate having so many dedicated supporters and volunteers helping us and we were particularly lucky with the weather. The Royal Cornwall Show is one of the highlights of the year, we are very grateful to Tregothnan for hosting us and enabling us to take part in it. All the money that we raise stays in Cornwall.”
Several supporters joined the ‘Friends of the Foundation’ at the Royal Cornwall Show. You can become a Friend of the CCF for as little as £25 a year, or £3 a month. You will receive up-to-date information in a quarterly newsletter about where your money is going and how it is helping people around Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, as well as being invited to our popular “The Reason Why” events which visit projects that have received grants. You will also receive invitations to many other events, including the annual Friends’ Drinks party.
