The Foundation announces new Chair of Trustees

3 November 2017

Jane Hartley DL is the Foundation's new Chair of Trustees. Jane has been a Trustee since April 2009 and Vice Chair from 2014. Jane has lived in Cornwall for more than 25 years. In 2016 Jane was High Sheriff of Cornwall and is inspired by giving back to the county.

The Duke of Cornwall Benevolent Fund supports access to computers for Universal Credit claimants

The Duke of Cornwall Benevolent Fund, administered by the Cornwall Community Foundation (CCF), has invested in the installation of a number of computers for the Wadebridge & Bodmin Foodbanks. Providing access to a computer in a safe and secure environment will enable the Foodbank’s clients to create and update their C.V.s, gain computer skills, search for employment and apply for jobs online.

£50,000 Youth Social Action funding awarded to Cornish youth projects

Youth Social Action,administered in Cornwall by CCF, awarded more than £50,000 in the first funding round to Cornish youth projects. The Youth Social Action programme supports projects that engage young people through community involvement. All the projects supported empower disadvantaged young people in their local communities, to develop skills that are life-changing.

CCF Friends and supporters visit projects in South East Cornwall

Friends, fund-holders and supporters of the Cornwall Community Foundation (CCF) visited Landulph Memorial Hall to see local projects that have been recipients of grant funds. Afterwards guests met at Pentillie Castle, by kind invitation of Ted and Sarah Coryton, to hear a presentation by Nikki Markham, Director of award-winning community interest companies, Work Skills South West and Battling On.

Funding opportunity for local community groups in the Caradon area

Local community groups in the Caradon area can apply to Cornwall Community Foundation (CCF) for funding from the Caradon Area Community Benefit(CACF). The fund can support a wide range of projects including those that improve safety, transport and community cohesion, skills and learning, job opportunities and healthy living.
