Ways To Help
There are many ways you can help the communities in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly and it’s not just about giving money.
Here are some examples...
Do you want to make a donation?
Any financial donation will make a difference. We have different schemes for different means including:
Becoming a Friend – from £1 a month. You will receive an e-newsletter, an annual newsletter and be invited to our Annual Award Ceremony to meet the very people you have helped fund.
Creating your own Acorn Fund – starting from £1,000 this is a way to build up your fund to become a Named Fund (see below).
Donor Directed Fund – you decide who you would like to fund and we’ll ensure they are suitably governed before awarding a grant on your behalf.
Named Fund – a Fund in your name (or as you decide), where you decide who you wish to support and how involved you wish to be. We will promote the fund, invite grant applications, assess them, prepare and attend the grants panel, make payment to those successful and conclude with an End of Grant report. You can be as distanced or involved in the decision making as you like (so we can create your Fund panel).
Postal Donations
If you prefer to make a donation using a cheque, simply post to us at:
Cornwall Community Foundation, Suite 1, Sheers Barton, Lawhitton, Launceston, Cornwall, PL15 9NJ
made payable to Cornwall Community Foundation.
Group donations
If you have fundraised as a group and wish to give us your collective donation, you can use any of the methods listed … postal, on-line (justgiving).
Do you want specifically to support our organisation?
Without the Cornwall Community Foundation to make targeted grants, many groups would not receive the funding they do (in the region of £0.5m - £0.75m p.a.). Although we are a registered charity we do operate with paid staff and premises with the expected overheads so have commitments to pay as any business would. More donors are opting to give to infrastructure or support costs so we can better secure our future. This means we can continue our services to the front line organisations you want to support. If you would like to help us in this way please do contact us. Previous support has included general donations and those for specific purposes e.g. towards our new website, salaries, IT costs.
