Other Ways To Help
Are you a business and want to help?
We have a whole scheme dedicated to support the “community” element of your corporate social responsibility (CSR). www.cornwall100club.co.uk
Do have spare time to give?
If you have considered volunteering we would be delighted to hear what you could bring to our organisation. In the first instance please do contact us by sending an email to volunteering@cornwallfoundation.com, outlining your experience and how you would like to help us e.g. manning a stand at events, taking notes at meetings, becoming a grants panel member etc.; or by writing to Suite 1, Sheers Barton, Lawhitton, Launceston, Cornwall, PL15 9NJ
Do you have specific experience and want to know how to help others using it?
If you have particular experience we may be able to make good use of it either at Cornwall Community Foundation or the benefit of community groups e.g. banking, investments, administration, ICT, HR, governance, training etc. Please do contact us by emailing volunteering@cornwallfoundation.com or by writing to Suite 1, Sheers Barton, Lawhitton, Launceston, Cornwall, PL15 9NJ
Are you a Trust Fund and need help in delivering your objects / giving grants?
We already taken on Trust Funds into the Community Foundation portfolio of funds. An example was a Trust which was folding but wanted the proceeds of sale to be managed by a professional, Cornish based organisation who would continue helping their target beneficiaries in the same spirit. We were gifted this amount and continue to make crisis grants in their name. If you own and existing Trust Fund or are a Trustee do talk to us about how we could manage all or part of your grant making.
Alternatively we could manage the Trust on your behalf with Trustees still in place, so retaining a substantial part of your decision making (effectively we would combine Trustees and report your accounts independently from our own).
Do you want to give grants and need help in delivering them?
If you are an organisation of any kind, who is struggling to give grants in Cornwall & the Isles of Scilly, or you want to do so but don’t know where to start, do come to talk to us. We could manage this entire element of your business without affecting your independence. Our team has over a decade of grant making experience and knows the county well.
Do you want to give beyond Cornwall?
Although our primary, targeted area of grant making is Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, we can make grants on behalf of donors to organisations nationally and internationally. We want to build a life-long commitment with our donors and help them reach their personal goals with their philanthropy, helping to reduce the roots cause of much degeneration and isolation.
In Kind
If you would prefer to help us through donations in kind (i.e. in goods and services rather than in money/cash) please do get in touch. There are many skills which we could use in so many ways from professional (e.g. finance, public relations, marketing, and fundraising) to practical (e.g. builders, plumbers etc.). We will almost certainly be able to use those services ourselves, and/or for the groups and individuals we are here to support.
