Arts Participation and Expression (Apex)

Arts Participation and Expression (Apex) received £897 from the Wellbeing and Prevention Grant Programme towards their inter-generational project supporting Apex participants (aged 19 - 55 years) with autism and learning disabilities.

From January to December 2014 the Apex group participated in monthly workshops where they devised a musical performance entitled Apex and The Creative Brain. This show was performed at the Redruth Community Centre, the Holifield Camping Weekend in Gweek, The Watersports Centre in Falmouth and at the Acorn in Penzance over the summer of 2014.

Director, Jacqui Callis comments "the grant has helped to provide a sense of community, well-being, pride, hope, self-esteem, fun and has enabled friendships to be formed".

We will be holding monthly panel meetings, applications received by the 20th of each month will be viewed at panel and decisions made by the end of the month (applications received after the 20th of each month will be submitted to the next available panel).

All grants must be spent and evidenced no later than the 23rd March 2018.
